The Cegep of Saint-Hyacinthe entrusts its network infrastructure upgrade to Prival

The Cegep of Saint-Hyacinthe recently entrusted the complete upgrade of its network infrastructure to Prival. Equipped with 23 computer laboratories, the institution has always made efforts to remain on the cutting edge of technology. However, its rapid growth in recent years has resulted in a loss of control over network infrastructure adjustments and computer equipment upgrades.

Following a thorough analysis conducted by Prival, a restructuring plan adapted to current and future needs of the college was submitted to the management team. A more robust and secure structure has since been implemented, allowing the college administrators to isolate different classes in the network, cut off Internet access to a particular area on demand, and preserve bandwidth by blocking specific Internet applications such as online games.

Vieux-Montreal College equips itself with PrivalEyes management console

Following a presentation on PrivalEyes given by Hugo Hamel at the AICQ symposium comprising IT services managers for public and private colleges in the province of Quebec, Michel Crevier, director of IT at Cégep du Vieux-Montreal, saw the potential of integrating such a management tool at his college.
